Shyam haun, kab braj basihaun jaaya

Shyam haun, kaba braja basihaun jaaya
O my Beloved Shyam!  When will I live in the holy land of Braj forever?

Shyama Shyam naama guna gaavata,

kaba nainana jhari laaya
When will my eyes overflow with tears of love, while singing the glories of the names and virtues of Radha Krishna?

kaba vicharaun gahavara vana veethina,

radhey radhey gaaya
When will I wander the wooded paths of the Gahavar forest, crying and singing ‘Radhey Radhey’?

kaba jhumata vrindavan-kunjani,

phiraun hiye hulasaaya
When will I dance in the groves of Vrindavan, with my heart full of love for you?

kaba lapataya latana goverdhan,

kahaun haaya piya haaya
Embracing the creepers of Govardhan, when will I call out with an intense feeling of separation, “O my Beloved Krishna!  Where are you?”

kaba lotata ‘kripalu’ braja raja bicha,

haun jaihaun bauraaya
Says Shree ‘Kripalu’, “When will that day come - when, rolling in the dust of Braj, I will become delirious in your love?”
